Welcome

Hi
I'm starting this blog in the hope of providing support to parents of children with special needs in the North East of Scotland, although any parent carer is welcome from anywhere.
First a bit about myself - I'm Suz. I have 3 children and my youngest has ASD. I gave up work 2 years ago to look after him full time as he was having so many problems at school. I have recently got involved with the local National Autistic Society branch and have found the chance just to chat to other parents a lifeline.
I would like this blog to be as interactive as possible where everyone involved has a chance to contribute ideas, links, stories and advice. Finding time to seek out the help and organisations available is very difficult when caring for a child with additional needs so I hope to create a list of local groups and contacts of people who can help. Please let me know of anything you'd like to add.
